Married to Mary Alberta Hogan, 1928 Served 16 years in U.S. Marine Corp. - In 1920, served with Mounted Detachment in Peking, China - 5 years as Guard Lt, US. Bureau of Prisons. Served 1946-1972 as Hardin County Veterans Service Office. President, Kenton City Council 1950-1951. One of the founders of Hardin County Veterans Memorial Park, member of Post 198 American Legion, Post 3333 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lodge #157 Elks.

Married Oren J. Hogan, 1928. Graduated from Kenton High School 1924 and from Ohio State University .1929, attended Miami-Jacobs Business College, Dayton, Ohio, 1929. Was owner/operator MA. Hogan Elevator at Grant, Ohio, 1933-1974. Was member of local PTA for over 20 years - Life member of Ohio Congress of PTA and Northwest District Director of PTA
- 1948 was a member of Hardin County O.S.U. Alumni Club - served as president of local Tuberculosis Association, member of American legion Auxiliary #198 and V.F.W. Auxiliary 3333
